Profile Photo

I am a researcher at the Virtual and Augmented Reality Lab (VARLab) at the University of Bologna, under the supervision of Prof. Gustavo Marfia and Prof. Pasquale Cascarano. My research focuses on mixed reality technologies for medical training, with a particular emphasis on developing immersive simulation systems for neurosurgical procedures. The goal is to enhance both realism and accessibility in surgical education.

I hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Bologna and a double degree in Intelligent Interactive Systems from the University of Bielefeld. Previously, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Bologna, where I developed a software monitoring dashboard as part of my thesis project.

In addition to my academic work, I have collaborated on interdisciplinary projects, including DDRUM, a medical data integration platform led by Prof. Philipp Cimiano at the University of Bielefeld, and Neuromix, a virtual reality medical training system developed in collaboration with Bellaria Hospital. My professional experience also includes roles in system administration and digital transformation education.
